Carolina Gourmet is led by Executive Chef Peter Olsacher, who brings over 40 years of culinary excellence to every event. His journey began at Austria's Michelin-starred Hotel Post, followed by international culinary experiences in the Cayman Islands and Austria, where he earned a Michelin star at Oscar.
After serving as a Corporate Executive Chef in Orlando and earning 12 gold medals in major culinary competitions, Chef Peter relocated to Mooresville, NC in 2020. Today, he brings his passion for exceptional food, customized menus, and unforgettable dining experiences to Lake Norman catering, private chef services, and chef-curated meals.

I can’t even begin to express how incredible our experience was with Chef Peter and his team for our October wedding! The food was absolutely phenomenal – guests are STILL talking about it! We had people going back for not just seconds, but thirds and fourths – that’s how delicious everything was! Each dish was so perfectly prepared and beautifully presented for our buffet, and the flavors were out of this world.
